How about a trek (with permission from the Havasupai Indians) to the bottom of the Grand Canyon to see this magnificent village of waterfalls and to meet the Havasupai? I waited YEARS to do this trek, to scale 200 feet down the slippery Mooney Falls ladders and pegs, and swim in the famous blue/green water... do it now, while you are strong and able! Take off EARLY in the morning before the temperatures reach 120 degrees in the bottom of the canyon, and stay awhile when you get there. The lodge is great, and the town even has a restaurant. I loved this trip, blisters and all! I walked in and took a horse ride out. Helicopters are also available both ways, if you choose to experience Supai in this way.

Up Above My Own Sweet Town - Seattle
Why not hop on a hot air balloon and see your own area of the world from 5,000 feet up? Flying over the East Side of Seattle was exquisite, watching the sunset, hearing silence, except for the blast of hot air now and then...Or better yet, strap into a harness and get whipped off the back of a boat and parasail for a bird's eye view of the area! Either way... its "off the beaten path"!
