The Wild Wild West August 2013-Day 1

This particular motorcycle ride, with Minerva Luella Sneetches, the amazing traveling Cat, will be one month long, with our key destinations of Sturgis, SD and Glacier National Park, in northern MT!

We started out under gray skies on this fine Monday afternoon, 8/5/13 and we pressed on, after donning rain gear half way up toward our destination of Benzonia, MI...only 2 hours away!  I look at this as our good luck, as the bugs got washed off the windshield, the riding temperature was cool,  not too cold and not too hot, and the roads were cleared off of the typical load of tourists, on adventures of their own.
We arrived in Benzonia around 3:30 p.m where we met up with my good friend, Donna Swanson, and had a great day with her family.  Sneetches was glad to get off the bike, get into Donna and John's fifth wheel Montana RV, and then we proceeded quickly into tasting French wines, eating fabulous food and enjoying fun conversations here in Timberline Campground with the family.  Very fun evening, and a great start to our big adventure.
